Three Okanagan MLA's On New BC Cabinet

Long-time B.C. cabinet minister Mike de Jong has been given the finance portfolio in a front-bench overhaul aimed at putting a new team in place for next year's provincial election.  Christy ClarkPremier Christy Clark has also given promotions to Mary Polak, who now takes on transportation and Margaret MacDiarmid, who becomes the minister of health.Don MacRae was elevated from agriculture minister to education. Rich Coleman is now Clark's deputy premier and retains his job in energy and mines after declaring yesterday that he would be staying to fight in the next election. Stephanie Cadieux will take on the tough job of overseeing the Ministry of Children and Family Development, while Shirley Bond retains her job as minister of Justice and Attorney General. Vernon Monashee MLA Eric Foster is not on cabinet, but did get promoted from deputy party whip, to party whip. Three Kelowna-area MLA's are on cabinet including Steve Thomson (Kelowna-Mission) remaining as Minister of Forests, Natural Resources and Lands, Ben Stewart (Kelowna Westside), staying as Minister of Citizen's Services, and Norm Letnick from Kelowna Lake Country, the new Minister of Agriculture. The cabinet shuffle was necessary after several ministers announced last week they wouldn't be running in the 2013 election, including high-profile members Kevin Falcon and George Abbott.

VICTORIA - B.C. Premier Christy Clark shuffled her cabinet Wednesday to replace ministers who have announced they will not run in next year's election. Here is a list of the cabinet members:
