- Average RDNO Residential Customer- (350m3) $78.08 increase yearly (11.40%)
- Coldstreamer- (high user)(584m3) - 2011 consumption - $92.04 increase yearly (8.51%)
- Low end user - 20m3 each quarter. $65.52 increase yearly (20.97%)

Don Quixote Note: Water Rates were approved by a 6-2 vote at the GVAC table and will be sent for ratification and implementation at the RDNO table. Water rates will be effective April 1, 2013 if passed and your first billing will be in July for the April-June 30 period.
Rate Changes in 2013 for residential Water customers
- Base rate has increased from $78.12 per quarter to $80.50
- Tier A First 10m3 per quarter charged at 50 cent/m3 = $5.00 per quarter. (free last year)
- Tier B Second 10m3 per quarter charged at 90 cent/m3 = $9.00 per quarter. (free last year)
- Tier C 21-40m3 1.00/m3 (98 cents in 2012)
- Tier D 41-80m3 1.25/m3 (1.20 cents in 2012)
- Tier E over 80 m3 1.80/m3 (1.74 cents in 2012)

Ironically, the intent of this new rate system is to encourage customers to reduce consumption. However, once you paid $4.725 per cubic meter for your first 20 cu m of water $1.00 extra per cu m may appear to be a bargain. Unfortunately, low consumers will again bear the greatest increase proportionally.
