Vernon's Friday night downtown market is proving it's worth to the downtown and shoppers. DVA executive director Lara Konkin says it's gotten bigger. She says "We're able to open the entire four blocks which we had originally hoped to be able to do, we have over 80 vendors now participating on friday night." As well she says they now have entertainment all along 30th Avenue, not just in the 4 closed off blocks, two each west and east of 32nd Street. Konkin says there's also a kids zone and children's entertainment throughout. One benefit for the several thousand who attend is the majority of stores are staying open after 8 in the evening.
