A water main break near Vernon City Hall has led to a city dump truck falling into a sinkhole. A main broke at around 1:30 this morning on 31 Street between 33 and 34 Aves, and crews turned off the water as soon as they were notified. A detour was put in place and no vehicles except for those with the City were permitted through. When crews arrived on site this morning, one of the city trucks fell through the asphalt that may have been weakened by the water main break. The water main break will be repaired by early afternoon today. Detours around the site of the break and sinkhole will be in place until repairs are completed.--------
