The August CPI for B.C. of a 1.4% increase will be applied on Dec1 to the Councillors and Mayor's base rate.
The August CPI for Canada of 2.1% will be used Jan 1, 2015 in relationship to the Facilities agreement contract for the GVAC Members.

OTTAWA - The country's annual inflation rate climbed higher than economists' expectations last month, accelerating to 2.4 per cent, Statistics Canada said Friday.
The October increase follows a 2.0 per cent rise in September. British Columbia saw the smallest gain in prices among the provinces at 1.1 per cent.
