Tire fire lights up the night sky

Vernon firefighters were faced with a stubborn fire Thursday. Crews tackled a burning pile of tires behind Kal Tire Place at about 7:30 p.m. Flames from the burning tires could be seen from some distance away. More details will be posted as they become available.
