A proposed new residential housing development in Vernon may need to get an archaeological study before proceeding. EMA Consulting is planning single and multi family units on a 29 acre site in the 500 block of Kalamalka Lake Road. It's the last undeveloped site in the Middleton Mountain area. After consulting with the province, the city says the developer will have to hire an archaeologist who will review the information and decide the type of assessment that is required.
