PRESS RELEASE September 6, 2006 On Sept. 6 the Conservative Party of Canada advised Doug Campbell that they had upheld their decision ofAugust 30 not to permit him to compete to replace Myron Thompson as Member of Parliament for WildRose Riding. Due to the restrictions placed upon all aspiring Candidates in the Nomination Process, Doug is prohibitedfrom discussing his disqualification. Campbell was officially advised on Friday Sept. 1st thathe had until Sunday Sept. 3rd to submit additionalinformation. Deb Mayan, Campaign Operations Director,stated, “Our team worked all weekend, we submitted ontime, and were promptly rejected! This process has been most frustrating and in my opinion very undemocratic. Ithas denied Conservatives in Wild Rose the opportunity to choose their candidate.” Mayan advised the Campbell Campaign Office wouldremain open until further notice.
