Annual inflation rate falls to 1.2% in January (Tell that to GVSC)

Lower gasoline prices offset higher housing costs to help Canada's inflation rate slow to 1.2 per cent in January, Statistics Canada reported Tuesday. The annual rate slipped after reaching 1.6 per cent in December, the government agency said. January marked the fifth consecutive month in which overall inflation was below two per cent.

Don Quixote Note: City of Vernon got it right with their inflation cost budget calculations. GVSC according to water manager used 2.5% instead of the correct figure of 1.64% (see Where does GVSC get INFLATION RATE ?? (First Posting feb 8) ) I wonder what Coldstream used for their calculations ?
