Do you think your MLA is underpaid? Or perhaps overpaid? You can have your say about their pay levels by making a submission to the Independent Commission to Review MLA Compensation. Besides compensation for MLAs, the commission will also look at allowances for the parliamentary secretaries, caucus chairs, committee chairs and party whips. The commission is accepting written submissions by e-mail to sborsoff@van.fasken.com. Closing date for receipt of the submissions is April 6, 2007. A public hearing on MLA compensation is scheduled for March 6 in Kelowna from 4 to 8 p.m. No location has been announced.
