There will be a community forum on halfway houses Wednesday night, despite a Vernon council decision to wait until the conclusion of the Abramanko murder trial, before moving forward. Bob Ens with the Okanagan Halfway House Society says they had planned for a forum before council made the decision to wait, he says they're not making an end run. Ens says the forum is an educational tool and will discuss what a halfway house is and how they do business. It's scheduled from 6pm until 9pm Wednesday, October 10th at the Vernon Rec Centre Auditorium.
