Prime Minister Stephen Harper is asking the Liberals if they really want to go there. The Liberals are calling for a public inquiry into former Tory prime minister Brian Mulroney's financial affairs and his relationship with German-Canadian deal maker Karlheinz Schreiber.
But Harper says such an inquiry could open the door to similar probes involving former Liberal prime ministers.The Globe and Mail and The Fifth Estate reported this week Mulroney didn't immediately pay taxes on 300-thousand dollars in cash he received from Schreiber.
