A 45 year old Vernon male faces charges of Child Luring over the internet following an undercover operation conducted by New Westminster Police Services. As a result of information received from New Westminster Police, on January 31, 2008, Vernon/North Okanagan RCMP executed a search warrant at a Vernon residence and seized computers. William HERMAKIN was arrested and appeared in court on February 1, 2008. He is charged with Luring a Child under Section 172.1(1)(c) of the Criminal Code of Canada. HERMAKIN has been released on strict conditions and is scheduled to reappear in court on February 6, 2008.
