Three youths, ranging in age from 13 to 16, are in custody after an armed robbery at Vernon's Lakeview Market Wednesday evening. The incident occurred shortly before 6 p.m. when the three males approached a cashier. "One of the males pointed a gun at her while one of the other males removed cartons of cigarettes," says RCMP spokesman, Gord Molendyk. "During the time the robbery was being committed by the three males, two guns were produced in front of the cashier." Molendyk says local residents were able to assist police with descriptions of the three. "Two of the suspects were arrested a short time later and returned to cells. The third male in this robbery was arrested this morning (Thursday)." He says all three are from the Vernon area.
