Vernon residents could be looking at a tax increase after all despite comments from city hall that council was on track for a zero increase just last week. Mayor Wayne Lippert says in Wednesday budget meeting, council agreed to ten million dollars worth of capital works projects, which means a lot more road work again this summer. Lippert says council will meet again next week to determine where that money will come from and if some money can be removed from other areas. He says the plan is to have the budget ready for council approval at their next meeting on January 26th.
