Glen Morrison Tuesday, 02 June 2009 107.5 KISSFM:
The days have been picked and Lumby voters may be having a by-election for mayor. On Monday night, village council set the wheels in motion to chose a successor to Eric Foster, now the Vernon Monashee Liberal MLA. Nominations will open June 30 and close July 10. If there's more than one candidate, voting day will be August 15, a Saturday, with an advance poll on Augusut 5. The election will cost village taxpayers about $5,000.
