Fire Sends Mom, Two Kids To Hospital

A mother and her two young children were taken to hospital after a Vernon house fire this morning. RCMP say emergency crews were called to the 3600 block of 24th Ave in Lower Mission Hill around 9:20. Four people were in the residence at the time, a grandmother, a mother and two children, a four year old, and another aged 18 months. The mother and children were taken to the hospital to be treated for burns and smoke inhalation. RCMP spokesman Gord Molendyk says the cause has been established but it's not being released at this time as officials continue to speak to witnesses, and piece together what happened.
