Water Restrictions

Betty Selin - Vernon 105.7 SUNFM:

Due to extreme drought conditions in the North Okanagan the next stage of water restrictions are being implemented. NORD Board Chair Herman Halverson says they did talk about going directly to stage 3, but decided Vernon area residents are going to stage 2 water restrictions effective immediately. It means only watering twice per week for all users on the Duteau Creek System. Agricultural users are asked to reduce their irrigation flows to a maximum of 80% of allocation. You can still hand water sensitive plants, but no sprinkling between 10am and 7pm any day. Addresses ending in: Schedule

0 Saturday and Wednesday

1 Sunday and Wednesday

2 Monday and Saturday

3 and 4 Tuesday and Saturday

5 Wednesday and Saturday

6 and 7 Thursday and Sunday

8 and 9 Friday and Sunday

Might be stage four today, I think they figure people like to go out and adjust their sprinkler systems daily.
