Second teen killed in less than a week Rebecca Barton 9/27/2010
Another Salmon Arm youth has been killed by a train. RCMP say a CP train was travelling west through the Raven area of Salmon Arm at approximately 1 am Sunday, when the conductor and engineer noticed a person kneeling on the tracks. Despite the efforts of the crew, 16-year-old Bradley Jackson was struck by the train. Alcohol and foul play are not suspected in the death and police are continuing to investigate and say the deceased was likely alone at the time of the incident. This is the second death of a young person within a week in Salmon Arm. On Sept. 22, another teenager died when he played chicken with an oncoming train. Police said 19-year-old Tyrel Colton Goerzen tried to leap across the tracks in front of the train but didn't clear the tracks and later died in hospital.
