Historic Courthouse Damaged By Vandals - Police appeal for witnesses

Vandals have damaged Vernon's historic courthouse building. A security guard patrolling just after 3 am Sunday noticed that six windows and a glass door had been smashed by rocks. Damage is estimated at around two-thousand dollars. Police do not believe anyone got into the courthouse. They are appealing for witnesses. Meanwhile, video from security cameras is being checked. According to a web site, the courthouse was built in 1892.
