Teenager Hit By Vehicle On Way To School - 16-year-old suffers suspected broken leg, say police

A Vernon teen has been sent to hospital with a suspected broken leg after being hit by a vehicle on his way to Seaton Secondary Wednesday morning. An RCMP spokesperson says it's believed the teen had cycled off the sidewalk into the intersection at the same time a woman driver was turning north onto 27 Street off of 41st Avenue. The 16-year-old male was struck. Police say no ticket has been issued at this time.
