Fatal Fire In Enderby (Update)

One volunteer firefighter has been killed and another has been injured in an explosion and fire in Enderby,  The initial call was at 4 this morning, and crews thought they had it handled when a blast at around 5 a.m.  tore through a shed  at Sperlich Log Construction, a  business that builds and ships log homes to Germany, Japan and across North America. One witness says it sounded as though a propane tank blew up. He says he was six or seven blocks from the scene and the blast was strong enough to rock his chair. The injured firefighter suffered non life threatening injuries. No names have been released and a cause of the fire is under investigation.
